Not a member yet? Please consider joining for all the great benefits. Joining ASPA will automatically include chapter membership if you live and/or work in NYC, Long Island or Westchester County, or you can choose us as your primary chapter or section. Or for a small annual fee, you can join the NY Metro Chapter in addition to your home chapter or section.
ASPA membership is a great way to connect with like-minded public servants and academics in the field. Membership benefits include chapter and/or section memberships, a subscription to the premier PA journal Public Administration Review (PAR), educational events like our annual conference, career advice & job postings, and much more. For more information, click Member Benefits to view them on the ASPA site.
ASPA offers a variety of membership to suit the various individuals comprising public administration—students, those in the beginning years of their careers, those on a career path, retirees—as well as those who want hard-copy publications mailed to them vs. those who would rather only receive electronic communications. Each of these categories are outlined here.
Get access to several national and local events, both in-person and online, including discounted registration for our Annual Conference and regional NECoPA conference! Keep an eye on our News Blog, or check the ASPA National Calendar of Events.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, including event planning, social media content, and financial matters. No matter your skill set, we have a place for you to make a difference!
Volunteering not only benefits the organization and community, but also provides personal benefits such as building new skills, making new connections, and improving mental health. Join ASPA NY Metro Chapter and see the positive impact you can make.
