ASPA New York Metro Chapter hosted our 2024 Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 12, 5:30 p.m. at 1 Pace Plaza, New York, NY. Dozens of public management professionals, academics and students joined us for dinner and networking with our members and friends.

Biography:
Thomas J. Main is the author of The Rise of Illiberalism (Brookings, Fall 2021), The
Rise of the Alt-Right, (Brookings, 2018) and Homelessness in New York City:
Policymaking from Koch to de Blasio (NYU Press, 2016), and editor of the
anthology, Is the American Constitution Obsolete? (Carolina Academic Press, 2013).
His book on change in New York City’s welfare policies will be published by Cornell
University Press in the spring of 2025. He is a Professor in the Marxe School of
Public and International Affairs at Baruch College, CUNY. He holds a BA from the
University of Chicago, MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a
Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton University
Stephen Rolandi is the author of Managing Gender Inequity in Academia: A Guide for Faculty and Administrators in Public Affairs Programs (Routledge, 2024). She is a of Professor of Public Administration at Pace University where she has also served as department chair and MPA program director. She serves as Associate Editor for Public Integrity and is chair of the Northeastern Conference of Public Administration. Previously, she was a faculty member at Jackson State University, USA. She holds a PhD in Public Affairs from the Florida International University, Miami. Her research has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Public Affairs
Education, Public Integrity, Public Administration Review, and Teaching Public Administration.
Dr. Scutelnicu Todoran also was the recipient and the 2023 Outstanding Academic/Researcher Award and a former president of ASPA NY Metropolitan Chapter.
